This year’s offering to raise funds for the SPCA’s National Cupcake day included a dozen dog cupcakes and a dozen Grumpy Cat cupcakes. So much fun. And apparently, they went like hot cakes…or something like that.
For the past few years I have donated cupcakes for a fundraiser for our local SPCA. Last year I did a dozen white puppies…
,,, and a dozen with a buttercream rose on each. Not sure what I’ll do for this year’s offering. This year’s SPCA’s National Cupcake Day is February 23. Stay tuned.
I made this birthday cake for my friend Chantal who is a huge KISS fan. It was a lot of fun to put this black and white graphic image of Gene Simmons on a cake, 3-d fondant tongue to boot! The silver dragees on the KISS logo were a pain to place but in the end, I loved the effect!
Birthday cake for environmental scientist’s birthday. The tree is reminiscent of the logo from his company Lakeside Green Environmental Services. The sky is inspired by the work of great Canadian artist Ted Harrison who passed away just last week.
